Touted as “the best looking store in Downey,” Uptown Vogue opened the doors of their third location Wednesday, December 10, 2014 in downtown Downey.
Located on Firestone Boulevard in Downey, this chic boutique offers footwear for the entire family from newborn booties to a worldwide selection for men and women.
Although they have a wide variety of shoe selections, it is the décor that catches the shopper’s eye.
Each display is a handmade cabinet that represents a major tourist attraction around the world.
You cannot help but notice the petite little girl shoes gracefully adorning the Leaning Tower of Pisa, or the rain boots that march across the San Francisco Bridge.
Each changing room depicts a scene from the subways of New York, men’s work boots dangle from London’s Big Ben and the cult famous Tardis displays futuristic eyewear and watches.
Marco Sosa, Store Manager stated, “we want everyone to know we are here in Downey and offer a wide variety of foot wear.” When asked where the idea for such unusual display case came from Sosa said, “we wanted to put the whole world into one shopping experience. Because we carry items from many countries, we thought it would be fun to showcase major tourist attractions. It was actually my Father’s idea.”
The Sosa family has stores in Paramount and Bellflower. Royal Image located in Paramount ‘is a nice little surprise,” said one customer, “I was not expecting much when I walked in, but was pleasantly amazed at the cool brands and good deals.” Shoe Kingdom is located on Artesia Boulevard in Bellflower carries a wide assortment of men’s work boots, as well as boots for women and children. Shoe Kingdom is known for exceptional customer service and a well educated sales staff.
