from diagnosis through survivorship
Whittier, Calif. (August 30, 2013) – PIH Health will host a Cancer Survivorship Series on Saturday, September 7, 2013 from 10 am to 12 noon. This free workshop will be held at PIH Health Hospital at 12401 Washington Blvd. Whittier, CA 90602 in the Flo and Frank L. Scott Conference Center – Room F.
PIH Health’s cancer care experts will lead conversations focused on: how to live positively while using meditation for relaxation, recommendations for fitness and diet, setting goals, and creating a new vision for life after cancer. The supportive environment is comforting for cancer patients and anyone affected by their loved one’s cancer diagnosis.
The Cancer Survivorship Series will cover:
• Living with uncertainty – fear of recurrence
• Screening, recommendations and lifestyle modification
• Connecting to counseling services
• Finding support resources
• American Cancer Society services
• Questions and Answers
• Light refreshments
