County probation executive arrested on suspicion of bank fraud

One of the county’s top probation officials has been arrested on suspicion of  bank fraud, according to the Press-Telegram.

Carl Washington served as the department’s director for intergovernmental relations and legislative affairs before he was arrested at 10 a.m. Monday by the FBI at the Probation Department headquarters.

The probation department is based in Downey.

It’s been a tough few weeks for the department.

Last weekend, another department employees was arrested on suspicion that employee shot a man outside a Covina bar.
