Kaiser Downey employee arrested on suspicion he assaulted recovering patient

DOWNEY – Police on Tuesday said they had arrested a man on suspicion that the man sexually assaulted a woman while the woman recovered from surgery at the Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in Downey.

Dean Trinh Ngo, 35, a registered nurse, is accused of assaulting the woman. He was arrested Thursday. The woman said she was assaulted May 8. She came forward July 26.

Ngo was immediately suspended from work, according to Downey Police.

During their investigation, police found evidence that Ngo may have assaulted a different patient at the hospital on June 2.
