Man gets shot, drives to 7-Eleven in Downey

DOWNEY – A man was shot in Bell Gardens on Sunday before he drove his car to a 7-Eleven on Downey Avenue, according to the police.
Police got a call of an injured man about 3 p.m., and when they arrived found the man at the store at Downey and Stewart and Gray Road, according to Police Lt. Dean Milligan.
After officers learned the man was shot in Bell Gardens, they turned the investigation over to that city’s police department. Police did not give information on the nature of the man’s injuries.
