Woman rescued from overturned car

DOWNEY – Firefighters at 10:30 p.m. Saturday helped rescue a woman who was trapped in a flipped-over car, according to to a statement from the Downey Fire Department.
The firefighters were called to a collision at Imperial Highway and Columbia way where they found a woman trapped in the drivers seat of an overturned vehicle. Firefighters from Downey’s truck 611 stabilized the vehicle until paramedics rescued the woman, according to the statement. The woman was taken to the hospital. Firefighters on Monday did not know the severity of her injuries.
