Group to celebrate city’s theatrical history

[ March 31, 2012; 7:00 pm; ] DOWNEY – Promoter and Downey native Larry Dusich is putting a on a big display celebrating the Downey Children’s Theatre from 7 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the Downey Civic Theatre, 8435 Firestone Blvd.

Thousands of children participated in the theater before it was shut down in the 1970s.
