DOWNEY – Nary a parking spot could be found Sunday afternoon in Downtown Downey after thousands of people lined the streets to watch the 60th Annual Downey Christmas Parade.

Hosted by Los Angeles County Supervisor Don Knabe and Margaret Moode of the Downey Civic Light Opera, the parade featured dozens of community groups, including cheerleaders, guide dogs, motorcyclists, high-stepping horses and high-stepping humans.

The parade route was packed.
