DOWNEY – The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory and is warning of near-freezing temperatures tonight, Tuesday and Wednesday.
Santa Ana winds are expected to kick up again today, and they are grabbing cold air from the upper atmosphere and blowing it all over Southern California, according to the Weather Service.
Temperatures tonight in Downey are expected to drop to 35 degrees. And temperatures will remain in the 30s Tuesday and Wednesday nights. The high temperatures are predicted to reach only about 65 degrees. Other communities will be even colder, and freezing temperatures are possible throughout Los Angeles County.
The week is expected to remain cold. And it’s possible rain could come early next week, according to some computer modeling by the Weather Service.
“If one were to believe the day eight forecast from the EC, it will rain next Monday, but I would not get my umbrella out just yet,” wrote the Weather Service in their forecast discussion.
